OUR PAST
Quintana holds the record for discovering more than 10 gas and oil fields during the 1990’s, operating over 35,000 bpd of oil and 5 million cubic meters of gas per day during that decade, with accumulated volumes exceeding 200 million BOEs. In the 90’s, we managed investments in excess of 300 million USD operating with partners such as YPF, CGC, and Sudelektra in Santa Cruz. Since our return in 2011 to Argentina, we’ve invested around 90 million USD in the province of Santa Cruz.
In 2021, we completed the acquisition of San Sebastián, a field discovered by YPF on the Chilean side of the island of Tierra del Fuego, where we have been operating since that date. Our offtaker is ENAP (the state-owned oil company of Chile).
Then, we started operating the Anticlinal Aguada Bandera, a green field delineated with 13 wells with plans to drill more than 100 wells in the next 10 years.
Since February 2025, we also operate Estación Fernández Oro, a strategic asset responsible for producing 30% of the gas in the province of Río Negro.
OUR FUTURE
We have recently acquired the Mendoza Sur Cluster, further consolidating our presence in key energy basins and reinforcing our role in Argentina’s energy development.
The project includes exploration rights in the Mendoza extension of Vaca Muerta. As part of the committed investment plan, a flagship pilot project targeting unconventional resources (NOC) will be carried out in this block, with an initial investment of USD 44 million. This initiative represents a key step in unlocking the potential of the Vaca Muerta formation in Mendoza.
